If you are rolling your eyes right now thinking there is no way you can juggle one more ball…read one busy patient’s story about making her own health a priority, and why you should to!

Why you need to make time for IV Nutrient Therapy:

I found myself sitting in the car after a visit to the pediatrician, tears pouring down my face. How can it be this hard for us to just stay well? Three different kids, three different illnesses. Each of them warranted a visit (thankfully at the same time). Unfortunately, none of them slept at the same time last night. I had feet on my back, and my partner and I were sandwiched with the baby. Unlike the others, after baby number three I didn’t bounce back the same way. I am stretched so thin, but sometimes I notice that my nervous system is on overload. It’s hard to tell if it’s sleep or hormones. I cry a lot. And I am always sick.

The pediatrician gave me a rapid strep test because I was there. While I soothed a fevered baby; the other two were on the exam table reading books to each other. I had the same strep throat my kid was diagnosed with, sure enough. But antibiotics and I don’t mix well. Doctors and nurses were in and out of the exam room. Nebulizer for the toddler, shots for the “big boy”, and then there was me. I was sitting in the corner of the pediatrician’s office, holding a crying baby with no ability to address my health care needs.

This is why I found myself sitting in the car in tears. But it was a turning point for me, honestly.

One afternoon at the park, some of the moms mentioned IV Nutrient Therapy for hormones, immunity and energy. They swear by it. My first thought was, “Yeah, right!” When would I ever have time to do something like that during my day? How would I possibly stay tethered to an IV while my kids were running around the clinic? How could I take care of myself when sometimes it feels like I can barely take care of them. I am totally outnumbered, here, and overwhelmed with my days. And their well-being is my number one priority. How could I fit one more thing in?

I used to think that way, but I scheduled a new patient consultation with Dr. Litchy-Miller and what she said helped me reframe my situation and put things in a new light. Now I can envision honoring the needs of my family AND myself in an authentic and whole way.

Here are a few things Dr. Litchy-Miller said that stuck with me:

One. Wellness starts from within. The ultimate goal is to take good care of my kids which I know means I have to take good care of myself. It is hard, but important, work for a mom. This means my own sleep, nutrition, movement, and stress management can no longer go on the back burner. Busy moms rarely prioritize themselves, but they often keep things running in the family. Getting serious about making time for myself is important on so many levels.

Two. Hormones, energy, and immunity go hand in hand. When one thing is off, everything is off. IV Nutrient Therapy is an efficient way to address each of these issues in order to help my body operate at optimal health. Dr. Litchy-Miller is a Naturopathic Doctor. She considers my lifestyle, wellness, health history and recommendations from my allopathic doctor in determining how best to address my individual situation. And, she will create an IV Nutrient plan that is just right for me.

Three. I’ve learned that IV Nutrient Therapy is the most efficient way for me to meet my health care needs in both short and long-term ways – given my lifestyle. Considering that IV Nutrients go straight into my blood stream, it is a cost-effective preventative treatment – as opposed to swallowing a bunch of vitamins. Knowing that it takes less than an hour makes me feel like the time investment is manageable. Ultimately, I can’t afford not to do IV Nutrient Therapy.
