IVC IV Treatment
What is Vitamin C?
Vitamin C is an essential nutrient that is mostly known for its antioxidant properties. However, it is also a cofactor for numerous enzymes, and plays an important role in the creation of collagen. Intravenous Vitamin C (IVC) is especially useful when the body is under elevated amounts of stress, excessive fatigue, and when there is excessive demand on your immune system.
When infused intravenously, Vitamin C can reach much higher levels in the blood than when the same amount is taken by mouth. High-dose IVC is a powerful adjunctive treatment option for many patients, acting synergistically with many standard (chemo) therapies, as well as decreasing the toxic side-effects of chemotherapy and/or radiation such as fatigue, nausea or vomiting.
