Iron Infusion IV Package Benefits

  • Reduce Fatigue: Increasing iron levels results in higher oxygen transport capacity, allowing more efficient oxygen delivery to all tissues, and ultimately a reduction in overall fatigue.
  • Increase Energy: Iron is a vital component to ATP production in the citric acid cycle (ATP = energy).
  • Increase Focus and Mental Clarity: Improved oxygenation to tissues (such as the brain), and increased amino acid and neurotransmitter synthesis and production.
  • Change Menstrual Duration and Volume: Contrary to popular belief, people who menstruate and live with iron deficiency will often have longer and heavier menstrual bleeding. Healthy iron levels actually reduce menstrual duration and volume.
  • Improved Athletic Performance: Optimal oxygen storage in muscle tissue can help athletes achieve that PR (personal record).

Why Your Iron Levels Matter: From a Functional Medicine Perspective

Oxygen Transport: Iron is an essential mineral used to create hemoglobin, a blood component responsible for carrying oxygen to all cells and tissues in the body. People living with iron deficiency will often experience fatigue, low exercise tolerance, and even shortness of breath due to lower levels of hemoglobin in their blood.

Muscle Oxygen Storage: Iron is vital to the production of a protein in the body call myoglobin. Myoglobin will store oxygen in the muscles, ensuring a supply for muscle function. Athletes, especially, will notice a decrease in performance and exercise tolerance if they are iron deficient.

Cellular Energy: Iron plays a key role in the citric acid cycle; a biochemical production that is responsible ATP synthesis in the body. ATP is our body’s from of “energy.”

Immune Function: Optimal iron levels ensure proper immune system function, enabling the body to fight off bacterial and viral infections.

Other Roles: Along with key roles in the synthesis of DNA, amino acids, ATP, and oxygen transport and storage, iron is also crucial for the production of particular hormones also. Iron is also necessary for normal functions of muscles, bone marrow, and organs.

Enhance Your Results

  • B12 shots: $25.00/injection, or packages available
  • B complex Plus: B Vitamins are essential for iron metabolism in the body because together with iron, they play a key role in red blood cell production, function, and oxygen delivery to the tissues.
  • C Fizz: Vitamin C improves the absorption of iron in the body by reducing the effects of particular substances, such as phytates, that inhibit iron absorption. This can be especially helpful for people who eat a vegan or plant-based diet.
